Ours are made from 100% sugarcane fiber, also called bagasse: the pulp left after sugarcane is pressed for juice. They have no plastic or wax lining, and they’re sturdy enough for soup, chili, salad and cereal. Choose 16 and 30 oz sizes together, or 24 oz on their own.

Yes. They’re made for hot or cold food. Serve and eat promptly, because very hot, oily food can soak into the base if it sits for a long time. We don’t recommend microwaving them, so heat food in a microwave-safe dish first and then serve it in the bowls.

They’re made to break down in commercial composting facilities, which run hotter than a backyard pile. Check whether your city or venue’s waste service accepts compostable food packaging. In a home compost bin, they can take much longer to break down.
